This site is dedicated to the memory of David Mackenzie.
David Alexander Mackenzie was born on July 11, 1981. He died October 20, 2011 and his ashes were laid to rest into the Columbia river on May 5, 2012. He is much loved and will always be remembered by all his friends and family.

I only knew you for a moment in your teenage years. I only heard about your death and now begin the tears. I heard your mother gave your ashes to the river’s deep. Now I ponder that you’ve slipped away and I begin to weep. You weren’t the perfect soul but who then of us are, but I will always think of you when I gaze upon the stars.

Afterglow
I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun;
Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.
